Why not take a look at the most popular tourist attraction in Spain from the rooftops of this beautiful city? Luckily, I discovered two things this summer in Barcelona - the love of a great rooftop terrace view and the love of enjoying a great drink (preferably sangria) from said rooftop terraces!

What follows are pics from various roof tops and times of the day around Barcelona. The last happens to be from another Gaudi work - Casa Mila’s (or La Padrera) rooftop.

Whether looking at this phenomenal structure up close or from afar, you will be amazed. It is currently the largest unfinished church in the Catholic Church. Upon completion, the height of the last spire will be between 566-570 feet making it the tallest church in the world. As is, Sagrada Familia is one of the tallest churches in Europe.

The project is able to continue from ticket sales and private donations, if you are so inclined, donations can be made to Friends of the Sagrada Familia. The projected completions is after 2026- a mere 144 years or more after the first stone was laid. The pandemic setback the completion date, but what’s another year or two anyhow?1?

If Sagrada Familia is not on your bucket list, you should definitely reconsider. It really is an amazing place and one worth visiting.
