When planning this leg of my trip, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect. This tiny little independent republic gave me much to enjoy and to remember when planning future adventures.
Great scenery in every direction as far as the eye could see

History and relics to appreciate and admire

Amazing architecture and craftsmanship

Good food, wine and beer

And friendly staff at most places of business (no picture here, you’ll need to come and find out for yourself)
One thing I failed to realize was the motorcycle gathering taking place on Saturday- which I now know happens the middle of every October. Hearing the echoing roars of motorcycles careening up the switchback roads of the mountain got to be old real quick. Looking for serenity and quiet on this trip, I failed to find it here until- the evening.

After about 7pm most day tourists have moved on (including the motorcycles) and a quiet stillness overcame the city. Walking alone through the old medieval streets, I felt like I was the only person there. Pure bliss for my soul and a welcome change from the vrooms heard before.
Quiet streets abound after 8pm.
Mother Nature gave me one last and befitting treat, this evening, a gorgeous and dramatic sunset. Thank you!

Sunset was quickly washed away by clouds rolling in over the mountaintop village, enveloping Mt. Titano like a blanket surrounding an infant being put to rest for the night. Like the village, I too will be headed to bed for a rest.

My time here is nearly over, but I have a feeling another stop will be in my future! Stay tuned and following me on Facebook @ Hentravelsandtours. Feel free to reach out if interested in traveling with me and other Hens on the journey to adventure.
